Terms & Conditions

Reservations. To reserve a party please complete the form on the Contact page or call our office at 866-9 PARTY 7 (972-7897).  We request reservations be made no less than three weeks prior to the requested party date.

Short Notice.  Parties reserved with less than a 10-day notice will incur an additional rush fee of 50% of the total cost of the party.

Contracts. Once a reservation has been made Star Party will send a quote followed by a contract.  You will need to review, sign and return the contract and an invoice will be sent for submission of the required deposit to hold your reservation. 

Party Availability. Parties are booked on a first come, first served basis.  Star Party will make every effort to accommodate your desired party date and time; however, if your date and time are not available we can assist you with an alternate date and time.

Payments. A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total estimated cost of the party is required to hold the party date.  We can not hold the party date without a signed contract AND required retainer.  Final Payment.  The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the party. If the initial order is placed at 14 days of the party date or less, the total amount is due at the time of acceptance the Quote, if less than 10 days refer to the Short Notice paragraph above.

 

We accept debit and credit cards as well as CashApp, Venmo and Zelle using party@starparty.net or 323-880-8311.

Tipping. Star Party’s party planners, hosts, assistants and entertainers are paid for their services, but you are more than welcome to tip them for exceptional service if you desire. 

Tax. CA State Tax is collected on all purchased, personalized and custom orders.

 

Fees for Delivery/Setup/Pickup.  Delivery. Delivery fees depend on the type of party booked, location of the party, and time of day.  Setup. Setup (also known as installation) fees depends on how extensive the install is, once we know all elements involved with the party we will provide an accurate cost in the quote. Pickup. The breakdown (also know as strike) fee is included in the delivery cost. To eliminate the risk of injury, we ask that you not collapse the tables and chairs, nor remove table covers, rented decor. Client is to make sure that all personal items are cleared away prior to our arrival and the Star Party Crew is provided timely access to the event area for strike and breakdown. Should any equipment and/or materials not be available to retrieve from the location, the Client will be fully responsible for the replacement costs of the missing equipment or material..

Design Change Fees. A design change fee minimum of 25% of the new total will apply to all changes made after the execution of the Contract. Fees may vary depending on the extent of the change.

Reschedule/Cancellations.  If the client needs to reschedule or cancel a party for any reason please be reminded that the retainer is non-refundable. We will be more than happy to reschedule your party and apply the retainer to a future party date, up to one year, that works for both our calendars. If applicable, any perishable or custom items acquired for your party will be given to you.  You are also responsible for notifying guests of any cancelled/rescheduled party.

Inclement Weather. Please be prepared to move the party inside if severe weather conditions prohibit you from having  the party outdoors. If the party has not started AND if time permits we will be happy to setup indoors.  If you wish to reschedule or cancel please be reminded of the reschedule/cancellation guidelines above.

Outdoor Events. Sunshine, heat, wind, rain, and other atmospheric conditions dramatically affect decorations. For all outdoor events, balloon décor, pipe and drape and certain décor elements CANNOT be guaranteed to withstand various weather conditions. All sales are final

Attendance. If the attendance falls below the number of guests contracted there will be no credit or refund given.

Arrival Time.  When booking a venue please keep in mind setup time and book accordingly. Setup time depends on the type of party booked and will be addressed prior to sending out the quote. For your safety and the safety of our staff, we offer contactless setup. Please do not come out or interfere while the Star Party team is setting up, once installation is complete we will notify you.

Entertainment.  Our Characters/Entertainers/Star Party Pros are hired for a specific length of time. Encourage your guests to arrive on time; if a guest arrives while the party is in progress they will be able to join the party at whatever stage the party is in at the time of their arrival.  If, on the day of the event, the Client requests Characters/Entertainers/Star Party Pros to stay beyond the designated agreed upon time AND Star Party is able to accommodate such request, the Client is required to pay $80 per half hour/per hired pro.  Client shall make payment via CashApp, Venmo or Zelle for such additional services at the time of the request.

Liability for Damage. Consideration by ensuring that our property is treated gently and carefully is expected, the Client is financially liable for any damages incurred.

Photography/Video.  Client acknowledges that photographs and video (if applicable) taken at the party may be used in advertisement (social media outlets, brochures, magazine ads, website and/or commercials); however, we make every effort to not use the direct likeness of the client, the guest of honor and/or attendees without prior written permission. 

Safety Warning. DO NOT allow anyone to inhale helium from the filling equipment or from balloons. Inhaling helium gas directly from high pressure tank or inflated balloons can cause dizziness, drowsiness, loss of consciousness or other serious injury. Popping balloons can cause eye or other injury. Chewing or swallowing deflated balloons is a choking hazard. Customer is responsible for supervising all attendees, and preventing all misuse or abuse of helium, balloons, equipment and material related to the party.

Client's Responsibility.  It is the responsibility of the Client to confirm with the guests’ parents and/or guardians of any allergies their children may have to the food, beverages or costumes Star Party will be providing and to notify Star Party immediately with your findings. It is also the Client's responsibility to ensure 

Our Responsibility.  Star Party is not responsible for any accidents that may occur before, during or after your party.  We are however, responsible for providing our Client with excellent, timely and professional service.  We are committed to making your experience with Star Party a positive one.
